The Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) is the largest association of registered tour operators together with allied members from various tourism sectors such as airlines, hotels, resorts, tourist transportation, and more focused in contributing to the growth of Philippine inbound and domestic tourism.

In line with  its product development advocacy,  PHILTOA  is staging series of validation trips  for its “ Bucket List “  tour  programs and packages. “Bucket List” destinations are  less traveled  places which are already within the radar range of social  media but  could still be  out of the mainstream tourism. By creating the tour packages to these destinations to  be marketed locally and abroad,  by accredited Philippine Tour Operators  could be a big boost to the tourism program of these  destinations. In the menu are Anda  of Pangasinan and Bohol, Polilo  islands of Quezon, Marinduque, the archipelagic province of Bohol, Catanduanes and Camiguin, Matnog and Gubat of Sorsogon,  of  Masbate, Higantes Island of  Carles in Iloilo, Camiguin and Siargao, Bantayan  and Camotes islands of Cebu.

PHILTOA started with Rizal – Quezon  last January  of this year which trail blazed  the grand  Sierra Madre  Mountain Range to meet the great Pacific Ocean, covering the towns of Antipolo, Morong, Tanay, Pililia and Binagonan leading to Real, the coastal town of Quezon.

Together with  DOT Region 4-B, the provincial office of Romblon and  2GO Travel, PHILTOA is set to validate another bucket list destination, the archipelagic province of  Romblon , featuring its  major islands : Sibuyan, Romblon, Tablas and San Jose.  “Crusing Romblon” will make use  the extensive Roll on, Roll Off (RORO) inter-island connection.

  • LEG 1 (22-26 June)  starts  from Batangas  port making an overnight travel to the island of Sibuyan.  Leg one ends in the island of Romblon to catch the overnight ferry by 2GO Travel for Batangas port.
  • LEG 2 (24-30 June) starts from Batangas port with an overnight ferry on board 2GO Travel’s San Antonio de Padua to Romblon Island. Leg 2 will cover the islands of Tablas and San Jose and  will end up in Odiongan  to catch the day trip ferry to Batangas port on 30 June  on board St. Ignatius .
  • FULL LEG  (22-30 June) can be an option

Time to explore Romblon and see what these islands can  offer other than the marble “almeres” (mortal and pestle).

The bucket list  tour packages  aimed at the  millennial  market will have its grand media launch  on  August 2016 . The same packages will be featured in the “Sale ng Bayan” during the 27th Philippine Travel Mart on 02-04 September 2016.
