According to UNWTO, tourism accounts for 10% of the world’s GDP, 6% of global trade and one in 11 jobs are generated by the sector. With such reach and influence, tourism is also increasingly called upon to ensure that the benefits it reaps are inclusive. Tourism is also a sector expected to play a bigger role in sustainable development through protection of the natural resources and environment as well as in the preservation of the country’s culture and heritage.
4th Philippine Tourism Forum GETS YOU READY FOR DOING TOURISM BUSINESS
On its fourth year, the Philippine Tourism Forum conference series seeks to ignite the discussions on how the industry can play an active role in the attainment of Ambisyon 2040 – the anchor of the Philippine Development Plan and the National Tourism Development Plan. Speakers and panelists will provide their views and thoughts to enrich the discussion of the business of tourism.
